“What’s it going to cost me?”

I wrote this page because websites need content, and because this is the question you really want answered. The answer, unfortunately, is “at this moment I really don’t know.”

That’s the honest truth, because I don’t want to quote a price and then load an invoice down with additional fees that were tacked on because I didn’t know the extent of the job, that a lot retouching was necessary to clean up the photo of the packaging, that the shipping of a product back was going to cost $27.50, or that the brochure I quoted upon went from eight pages to 16.

So a price quote here and now is unfair to both of us.

To get a realistic dollar figure, one that I will absolutely adhere to as long as the facts I’m given remain the facts I got, simply fill out the form on the contact page with the information you have. If I have any questions that need clarification, I’ll ask. Having everything known to each of us before the job begins will make us both happy long after the job is over.

I will say this in regard to copy: I will make a reasonable number of author’s alterations (AAs) at no charge. What “reasonable” is I can’t say without knowing more. In regard to photography, I will do a certain amount of retouching (dust, blemishes, etc.) that you won’t even know I’ve done and other simple changes I’ll make at your request without further charge. Just keep in mind that I want us to both be happy at the end of the day.
